EscapeThe severity of his fate was finally setting in. While not generally a pessimist, the oppressive tension that inhabited the dungeon effectively prevented optimism. Deep below the grimy surface of the sprawling city of Chadwick, Kartel Splint lay slumped against the wall of a dungeon. Sharing the pitifully overcrowded cell was an assortment of small time criminals, beggars, one or two shifty eyed merchants, a noble who was so pale one almost had to squint to look at him and a huge, muscular simpleton who appeared to be intensely interested in the decaying carcass of a rat that was lying next to him.Escape by ~Drizabon3
